They are made with my favorite magical go-to ingredient: Modeling Chocolate. Being handmade as well as delicious, they will definitely show that special someone they are loved. And they're very easy, so the kids can even help make them!

You'll Need
- A bag of chocolate candy melts - white
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- Pink food coloring
- Food writer pens
- Cornstarch
- Supplies (Pyrex container, cling wrap, cookie sheet, knife, cookie/fondant cutters, small paintbrush)
First you'll need to make the modeling chocolate. It'll take a few hours for it to set, so plan this project a bit in advance.
Melt the chocolate in a Pyrex container in the microwave according to package instructions. It may not look like it's completely melted, but if you stir well it will get smooth. Fold in 1/2 cup of corn syrup until it starts to come together like a dough ball, then spread out about 1/2in thick on cling wrap covered cookie sheet and top with more cling wrap. Let it sit for at least 3 hours, then knead with hands until soft like play dough (Add a bit of cornstarch to it if it starts to seem sticky).

Roll out white modeling chocolate about 1/4 inch thick on a smooth surface dusted with cornstarch. Using a knife, cut a square or for a more elongated envelope, a lopsided diamond like below. The size will depend on how big the heart note going inside is. Fold in the sides, then fold up the bottom and gently press into place. Use the paintbrush to brush away any excess cornstarch on the chocolate.
